Whittle Group Inc.’s Reporting Server provides Clients with access to near real-time transaction data from the Payment Terminal via a simple REST API!
An agent running on the Payment Terminal formats non-sensitive transaction data in JSON format and passes it to a dedicated Reporting Server instance for the Client.
The Client retrieves the transaction JSON data using a simple REST API and incorporates the data into their own merchant facing portal.
This is useful as:
- An independent record of transaction activity at the terminal to provide checks and balances for the Processor reports
- A method to retrieve terminal transaction details that are not available from the Processor. Examples are:
- Amount handling that is local to the terminal
- Additional data prompts and information that are not supported by the Processor
